Andrew Shaver recently directed SideMart’s Haunted Hillbilly. Other SideMart directing credits include; David Mamet’s American Buffalo, The Montreal Premiere of Morris Panych’sDishwashers, and the English language World premiere of Gerard Vasquez’s OOOO!

At the MECCAs, he is a three-time Best Director loser. He was a founding member, performer and Artistic Director with the Montreal/Brooklyn-based creation ensemble SaBooge Theatre. SaBooge’s shows have toured from Montreal to Toronto, Vancouver, Philadelphia, New York City and Dublin, Ireland.

Shaver was a member of the 2009 Stratford Festival acting company, performing in Macbeth, Cyrano de Bergerac and Zastrozzi and will return to Stratford for the 2010 season to assistant direct For the Pleasure of seeing her Again, as part of the inaugural Micheal Langham Directors’s Laboratory. He will be returning to Montreal in the fall to direct SideMart’s world premiere of Morris Panych’s Gordon at the Segal Centre and Marie Jones’ Stones in His Pockets at the Centaur Theatre.

He has also worked internationally as a teacher; including residencies at: Queen’s University at Kingston, Internationl School of Brussels, Swarthmore College PA, Gaiety School of Acting, Dublin, as well as Concordia University and the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal.

Selected film credits include: Zackery Samuel: Illusionist, The Last Kiss, 300, Cruising Bar 2, Les Pieds dans le Vide, and I’m Not There. Andrew was not in Dead Zone, like the rest of the boys.

He is a graduate of Queen’s University and Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris.
